The challenge:
The real challenge was not technical, but narrative: how to transform minimal materials (photos taken with a phone, a few scattered notes on the restaurant's history) into a digital story capable of communicating authenticity, deep origins, and the restaurant's pioneering role in Italian gastronomic culture?
The solution:
Building the entire brand identity around the values that make El Greco truly special: the family behind the counter, the tradition handed down from generation to generation, the authentic and unmistakable flavor of the dishes, the sincere hospitality. Moving away from visual stereotypes (the predictable Santorini blue) to choose sophisticated shades of deep blue, gold and sand accents, communicating Mediterranean elegance, not a tourist postcard.
Deliverables:
- Website structured in 6 pages designed to guide the user from the restaurant's history to concrete action (booking)
- Fluid and engaging animations that enrich the experience without weighing down navigation
- Dedicated menu page, optimized for takeaway orders and quick consultation
- Organization and artistic direction of a dedicated photo shoot with a professional food photographer
Results achieved:
- Over 500 monthly unique visitors and more than 1,100 total views
- 74% organic traffic from Google: the site has become the first point of contact for anyone looking for authentic Greek cuisine in the area
- The project did not stop at the launch of the site: ongoing collaboration for the update of printed materials (menus, flyers, seasonal communication)
